Karen is the founder, Chairman & CEO of InterFace Partners, a Massachusetts-based Global event strategy and speaker placement company, which specializes in proactively researching and targeting the most appropriate Events to secure premium speaking opportunities for high level Executives. Prior to InterFace Partners, Karen worked for Carat, Inc., the largest independent media agency in the world, to build, create, and execute a “new” Event Marketing Business for Carat. The business focused on event strategy & selection, sports marketing, research, executive speaker placement, production, training & logistics.
Karen built her team one client and one employee at a time into a multi million dollar business. While her entrepreneurial spirit and zest for closing a deal inspires her peers, it is Karen's track record of success that truly stands out. In 2007 & 2008, Karen's team proactively sought out and secured clients in various technology, financial, consumer & sports industries. In fact, in the past eight months, her team has supported companies like Intel, Discovery Channel, Microsoft, Philips, AOL, Radio Shack, and Computer Associates.
Karen has more than 17 years experience in event marketing, and prior to joining Carat, was the Director of Sales and Marketing Events for Giga Information Group. In this role, she was responsible for providing strategy and analysis for all event-marketing programs. Karen also developed and implemented new events to help Giga penetrate new markets in South America and Japan. Prior to Giga, Karen was the National Account Representative for Ceridian Services, where she sold leading software to Fortune 500 Technology Companies. She holds a BA Degree in Marketing and Public Relations from Emerson College. She is married to Tony and has two children: Mark and Madison |

Barry

Barry spent the 2007 season as Director of Marketing and Promotions and
was involved with all operational decisions for the Pittsfield Dukes NECBL
Baseball Team. The Dukes are owned by former President and GM of the
Boston Red Sox, Dan Duquette.
Prior to the Dukes, Barry worked as Contract Manager for Pemco, Ltd., a
Real Estate Marketing and Management Company based out of Hawaii. Barry
oversaw the HUD contract for the State of Georgia with an inventory of
4000 single family homes with a value of over 370 million in annual sales.
Barry managed an executive staff of 38 people, oversaw 24 appraisers, and
two law firms which averaged 300 property closings per month. In addition,
he oversaw the property management team, First Preston Group, which
managed a staff of approximately 150.
Furthermore, over the past 22 years,
Barry has bought and sold 8 restaurants and orchestrated dozens of real
estate deals. For the past three years, Barry has been the Assistant State
Commissioner for Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Baseball for the State of
Massachusetts. Barry was the starting middle linebacker for the Berkshire
Mountaineers, a semi-pro football team which played in the 1993 National
Championships. Prior to that, Barry was a three year starting outside
linebacker with the Hudson Vikings, a Minor League Football Franchise that
played in the Empire Football League, which at the time ranked #1 in the
world of semi-pro football. Barry was also a nationally ranked junior
racquetball player, and in high school, was a three sport varsity player
starting in his freshman year. Also, Barry has held positions on a
variety of community boards in his hometown of Williamstown, Ma. Barry
has 3 children: Katherine, Kristina and Ryan.

John Ferrara

John Ferrara has been
involved in baseball for over three decades as a player, coach,
instructor, fund raiser and general promoter. He played varsity baseball
in high school for Brockton and college for Wesleyan University, four time
divisional champions. He also played semi-professional baseball for the
Australian Baseball Federation based out of Sydney and was active in
various city leagues in New York and Boston. He has taught baseball at
multiple levels, most recently involved with championship teams in his
home town of Easton and in Hingham for the South Shore Baseball Club,
which won the New England Title in 2007.
His professional career
encompasses 20 years in investment banking, venture capital and management
consulting. He is the founder and President of Capstone Partners LLC, a
Massachusetts-based investment banking firm that has been ranked amongst
the top firms in the industry for the past four years. Prior to Capstone,
John was a Regional Managing Partner with Arthur Andersen, where he held
various national and global leadership positions. He started his career
in Lehman's Brothers' Mergers & Acquisitions group in New York, London and
Riyadh, later becoming a founding member of Rodman & Renshaw's M&A
practice in New York. He also worked for The Deloitte Consulting Group in
Los Angeles where he focused on strategic planning and turnaround &
interim management assignments.
John earned his MBA in Entrepreneurial Studies from The
Anderson School at UCLA and the London School of Economics. He holds dual
BA degrees in Religious Philosophy and American Politics from Wesleyan
University. He is married to Kate and has three children: A.J., Claudia
and Jack. |

Lori O'Heir

Lori O'Heir joined the Wadsworth Sports Group as Director of Marketing and
Promotions. She has extensive experience in fundraising and advertising
sales for community organizations. Lori served on the board of the
Foundation for Excellence in Education in Easton (FEEE) for four
years. She has worked as a paralegal at a Boston firm, as a corporate
training program analyst, and in sales. Lori holds a B.A. from Bridgewater
State College and Massachusetts Teacher Certification. She and her
husband, Patrick, live in Easton with their three children: Alexandra,
Victoria, and Tommy. |

Tamiko Broms

Tamiko Broms brings to the
Wadsworth Sports Group a strong background in education and
entrepreneurial experience. Tamiko has been in the field of education for
15 years.
She holds a Secondary English
Education Credential in the State of California and Hawaii, and has been
recognized as an outstanding teacher by The National Youth Leadership
Forum and The National Council of Teachers of English for excellence in
its instructional program as revealed by students honored with NCTE
Achievement Awards in writing. She regards herself as fortunate to mentor
and lead college bound students. Tamiko holds a Bachelor's of Education
Degree from University of Hawaii, and has her Credential in Language
Acquisition and Development from Stanford University.
Tamiko's entrepreneurial
background began with a two location espresso business in Honolulu,
Hawaii. Before Starbucks, there was Coffee Hana Hou, one of the first
espresso businesses to arrive on the island of Oahu. Her company is credited as
setting a new trend of espresso in Hawaii.
Tamiko is passionate about
continued learning, youth development and community involvement. Tamiko
has volunteered during the summers with the Western MA Cal Ripken coach's
continued education clinic program at the Dan Duquette Sports Academy.
Tamiko is a native New
Englander who was raised in Auburn, Massachusetts. She is the mother of
two boys, Elijah and Ethan. |

Dan Sturtevant

Dan Sturtevant is a recent
graduate of Marist College with a Bachelor’s of the Arts in Communications
with a dual concentration in Sports Communication and Journalism.
Sturtevant will be entering his third season in the New England Collegiate
Baseball League and his second as a full-time play-by-play broadcaster.
He has spent his last two summers working with the Pittsfield Dukes. In
2006, as the team’s public address announcer and music coordinator during
home games, and in 2007 as the team’s internet broadcaster and media
relations intern.
During his collegiate career
Sturtevant gained valuable experience in other aspects of the sports media
world as well. In the spring of 2006 he interned at the Poughkeepsie
Journal as a member of their sports department. In the fall of 2007
Sturtevant crossed into yet another facet of sports media as he interned
for the Madison Square Garden Television Network as a production assistant
on two different programs: The New Balance High School Weekly Presented by
MaxPreps.com as well as the network’s nightly sports show, MSG, NY.
This season
Sturtevant will be working for the Holyoke Sox as their Internet and Radio
Broadcaster, as well as being the teams Media Relations Director and Sales
Associate. Sturtevant worked with Holyoke COO/GM Barry Wadsworth last
season in Pittsfield as members of the Dukes’ front office. |
Brendan Monahan

Brendan Monahan joins Holyoke this season after spending last season as a bradcaster with the Bridgeport Bluefish in the Independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Brendan will be a junior at Fairfield University in the fall, majorng in Communications with a Media Studies Concentration and Journalism minor. He has spent time with numerious media outlets, including a current stint with WGGB-ABC40 in Springfied, MA. When home from school, Brendan contributes to the news with his writing, tracking stories, field interviewing, and other miscellaneous duties. Outside of television, Brendan is employed at The Sprngfield Republican as a freelance writer and high school sports box score recorder. In the sports world, Brendan spent the 2005-06 hockey campaign with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League as a broadcast assistant for Falcons broadcaster John Michael, now the television face and radio voice of the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters. While at Fairfield, Brendan is a "voice of the Stags" basketball teams, both home and away, online and on the radio as part of Fairfield Basketball Radio Network. In his free time, the devous Red Sox fan is President of his 2010 class at Fairfield, works with many West Springfield Park and Recreation Department programs, is a HUGE New England sports fan, and loves spending time with his family and friends! He is very excited and proud to provide upbeat announcing both at Mackenzie Stadium and online/radio for the Sox all season long!

Katherine Wadsworth

Katherine brings not only a strong work and study ethic, but a strong
sports background.
Katherine has been a three sport standout in Cross Country, Track,
and Basketball, chosen by her peers to be Captain of next years Cross
country team. She has also been named to the All Berkshire, and
All Transcript teams in Cross Country. Katherine took home the Gold
medal at the Junior Olympics in the 3000 and 1500 meter events.
Katherine took 3rd at the US regionals IRON KIDS Triathlon in Georgia.
Katherine was also chosen from her school to attend the young career
businesswomen conference. Katherine plans to attend Medical school.

Kymberly Wood

Kym is a 2007 graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover, MA with a Bachelor of Science degree, double majoring in Spanish and Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management. She is currently earning her Masters of Education in Sport Management from Springfield College in Springfield, MA.
During her time at Merrimack she was a two year Resident Assistant, and a one year Senior Resident Assistant. Using the skills learned in the RA position, she was hired in May, 2007 by Springfield College as a Resident Director and currently co-heads a staff of 9 Resident Assistants and runs a building of 280 undergraduate students. She graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, MA in 2003 and was a member and two year captain of the varsity softball team. She also played ASA, NSA, PONY, and USSSA Fastpitch Softball for 10 years, competing in national championships in the New England area, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina and Canada.
Her prior work experience includes The Office of Residence Life at Springfield College, Springfield, MA; Member Relations at Glen Ellen Country Club in Millis, MA; and Management Trainee Intern at Hertz Rental Car in Milford, MA.

Liz, a native of nearby Agawam, Massachusetts, is a 2006 graduate of Bridgewater State College. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a double concentration in Exercise Science and Recreation and Fitness Club Administration and minored in Art. At present she is pursuing her Masters of Education in Sport Management from Springfield College. She serves as the Assistant Recreation Director for the Town of South Hadley as well is the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Western New England College under head coach Nicole Chaszar.
During Liz's time at Bridgewater State College she was a three-year member of the women's basketball team. She also was the softball team manager for three years and worked for the campus recreation department as an intramural official. She is a 2001 graduate of Agawam High School where she was a three-sport varisity athlete in volleyball, basketball, and tennis. As a senior she served as a captian for both the basketball and tennis teams and led the tennis team to a league championship as she earned All-Western Mass honors.
Liz's prior work experience includes working as a Guest Services member for six years at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA. She also was the Amherst College Assistant Women's Basketball Coach during the 2006-07 season and was a two time Assitant Director of the Amherst College Nike Basketball Camp.

 Zach
| Zach is entering his senior year at Southern New Hampshire University, where he is a sport management major and is working on a minor in economics. Because of Zach’s strong work ethics and his passion for sports, he was elected as the Vice President of the SNHU Sport Management Club and is heavily involved with many of the activities that they sponsor at the university and in the Manchester area.
During his junior year, Zach completed an internship with the Manchester Monarchs Hockey Club in Public Relations. While working with the Monarchs, Zach became very accomplished at creating and writing press releases to which several of his articles were published. Zach also became very skilled in media relations. He will intern again with the Monarchs next year.
Zach is an avid baseball fan and has grown up playing baseball to include four years at Liberty High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He currently works for the Holyoke Parks and Recreation Department and umpires Little League for 10-12 year olds in Holyoke. |
Allan Sobon
| A resident of Chicopee, Massachusetts, Allan is currently entering his junior
year at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Allan is majoring in sport
management with a minor in geography. He is a member of the University of
Massachusetts Association of Student Sport Managers, Isenberg Honors Council,
and Marketing Club. Allan also brings previous work and volunteer experience
from the Springfield Falcons, UMass Athletic Department, Atlantic 10 Shootout,
and UMass SoccerFest. He has experience in game operations, ticket sales,
registration, event management, and marketing. |
Kris Dunner
| Kris is a graduate of Belchertown High School Class of ’99. He played JV Baseball and Varsity Volleyball as a freshman. He also Attended Holyoke Community College, during 2 years at HCC, he played on the Baseball Team as well as working part-time at the campus radio station with his own radio show. He has played baseball his entire life, including since inception 7 years ago playing in the Full Count League, a local over 18 baseball league.
Kris has extensive experience in the Sales and Marketing fields, previously working as a Sales Account Manager for Oxford Global Resources, and currently working in the Corporate Marketing Department for Brooks Brothers Corp. office in Enfield CT.
Kris has worked for the Belchertown Recreation Department as a High School Basketball coach for the past nine years. This year he moved over to coach Sandy Koufax Baseball for Belchertown. He is currently finishing up classes at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Farmington, CT and plans to continue his career in the Sports Broadcasting Field. |
